MEIHODO International Youth Visual Media Festival is an international platform for exchange among youth media practitioners. Every year, the festival calls for applications from students of media-based schools and working youth media practitioners around the world to submit original works of short films under 30 minutes and visual art works of various themes.
A jury comprising professional judges from various countries including China, the United States and Japan will take part in the selection process. Outstanding selected works will receive awards from the Board of Councilors and a certain amount of prize money, and will have the opportunity to interact with world-class musicians, active behind-the-scenes producers, experienced directors and producers for period of the festival, from which they may gain more resources, inspiration and experience from the film industry.
The MEIHODO International Youth Visual Media Festival aims to foster the growth of a new generation of youth media talent, promote interactions and development in international media circles, usher in the media era of the future through media education, bring the original works of youth practitioners and media attention to the international arena, and establish a generative force and reserve force equipped with creative power for the era of omnimedia.
